Vacation Rental

07.14.09: innkeepers warm and accomodating, and the gardens, and resident pets add to the charm. We loved drinking wine in the hot tub surrounded by flowers while watching the lambs graze. Breakfasts were delicious and the suggestions we got for places to go were perfect. We started calling it "home" after one day. The "casa" is within 10 minutes of many amazing wineries and restaurants. Russian River valley is the heart of pinot noir and chardonnay and it's also just gorgeous!

While you can feel "away from it all" at Casa Carolina, it's close to everything. We drove to the coast, the Armstrong Redwoods, to Healdsburg, to the Sonoma Valley, Carneros and Dry Creek Valley. Nothing was very far, though the drives through back roads made our journey as interesting and fun as our destinations. Downtown Sebastolpol is about 5 minutes away and we enjoyed the restaurants and unique shops.

If you want to experience the best of Sonoma County visit the Russian River Valley and stay at Casa Carolina!

06.28.09: My wife and I had a wonderful time at Casa Carolina. The attentiveness of the staff was the best I've had at any BnB I've stayed at! The location is perfect with close access to all of the wineries or the ocean and the inn keepers are very helpful with suggestions of places to go. They also have the best full breakfasts! I would highly recommend it!

06.14.09: traveled with my fiance and his family and we had an absolute blast. This Bed and Breakfast was so relaxing. Our room upstairs was very cozy and the bathroom was simply adorable. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and felt welcome to relax anywhere. The gardens in the front and back were beautiful-everything was blooming! and we got to meet Daisy the Donkey. I liked everything about the place. The new innkeepers were very helpful and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. They fed us superb breakfasts and were able to direct us around the town and on to the coast. I would absolutely stay here again. It felt like a home away from home. I just wish I had more vacation coming to me! :)

06.14.09: We stayed over the weekend at the Casa Carolina for my girlfriends birthday. The property was clean, rooms were well decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of extra towels. The setting is phenomenal! Just outside the artsy town of Sebastopol, the property is surrounded by an incredible garden and a farm-like setting including a donkey, chickens, sheep, and a couple of dogs. The hospitality was top notch, with breakfast that included produce and eggs from the property itself. There was also very friendly staff that while new to this particular property, had great knowledge of the local area. The place is 20 minutes from the Sonoma Coast, 30 minutes from 3 of the best Zinfandel appellations on earth, but if you decide not to leave the property for your entire stay you will be treated to beautiful sunrises and an away-from-it-all setting. Oh yeah, there's a hot tub too :-). We will be back..

05.19.09: A charming house set in a large lot with flower, vegetable, and herb gardens, and pasture for the (remarkably quiet) quiet donkey, sheep, and chickens. Wayne and Katie were charming, helpful hosts who went out of their way to assure we enjoyed our stay. They created an atmosphere that was perhaps the most welcoming and friendly of any B&B we've stayed at over many years. The place is about a mile or so from the center of town in a rustic setting. Sebastopol is a convenient jumping-off spot (with several good restaurants) for day excursions to the Sonoma coast or inland to the wine country.

05.01.09: We just wanted to write a quick note on our stay last week. We had a wonderful time at Casa Carolina- the setting was perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for. We were especially happy about how attentive Wayne and Katie were. The breakfasts were wonderful and both Wayne and Katie sought to help us on dinners, tours, planning. Thanks for such a memorable stay- we look forward to returning!

10.30.08: We just came back from a two night stay at Casa Carolina. This is a fabulous B&B with a gracious host. Very nice and pretty accommodations and out-of-this-world breakfast, all for a reasonable price! what a find!

09.21.08: Casa Carolina is an excellent place to lay one's head during a quickie Bay Area getaway. It's located near the best of everything--Wineries, the redwoods, the Sonoma Coast beaches. You can even visit Bodega (Bay) if you're a film buff. The innkeeper, Carolina, is personable and warm but not intrusive. She provides not only a great place to lay one's head but also a hearty and healthy breakfast to start your day. I highly recommend Casa Carolina. You'll be charmed.

07.21.08: My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Casa Carolina very much. Great location. Caroline made you feel like you were staying with a friend. She is very knowledgeable about the area and love to share her love of the the wine country. The room was very nice and cozy. We will definitely stay there again.

07.07.08: I really enjoyed our afternoon wine & cheese in the hot tub & the view from out bathtub in the room. Most of all, I enjoyed the places she recommended we visit and eat. Carolyn has a special talent for reading her guests & suggesting the right itinerary for them. Her B&B was in a great location to see the Red Wood forest, ocean & lots of wineries & restaurants.

06.24.08: If you are looking for an intimate, friendly, and personal setting Casa Carolina is the perfect place! Carolyn immediately puts you at ease with her warm and friendly manner and enjoys sharing information about the area and interesting places nearby to visit. Breakfast is unique each day and stands alone from the "norm" in most B&B's. The meals were well planned, intelligently prepared, and made from ingredients that were wholesome and healthful. This alone would be enough to make sure that should I visit the area again, Casa Carolina would be at the very top of my list! Not only is the atmosphere warm and friendly, and the food exemplary, but the friendly animals are an extra treat for an animal lover like myself! Tony, the rescued German Shepard, the donkey, the 2 sheep, all were sweet and loving animals which should attest to Carolyn's true nature. I'm very picky but was pleased in every way with my visit and should I have an opportunity to go back, I definitely will stay at Casa Carolina again! Karen MacDonald.

06.09.08: From the beginning to end, Casa Carolina had all the charm that you wish for in a Bed and Breakfast. Caroline is a wonderful host and chef making breakfasts to remember. I will return many more times. I loved my stay.

06.03.08: Casa Carolina in Sebastopol is the best inn in the region! I haven't actually stayed there myself, but I hear nothing but good things about the place and the owner Carolyn Schroth.

05.22.08: My friend and I stayed 2 nights here and only have rave reviews. From the minute we arrived until we left, we felt the personal touch service from Carolyn, the owner. She wanted to make sure all our needs were met at all times. Her suggestions for dining, cycling, hiking and wine tasting were spot on. I instantly felt relaxed in her home. It is very peaceful and secluded (yet only a few minute drive to the center of Sebastopol). It was the perfect launching pad for proximity to some fabulous wineries and only a 20 minute drive to the coast. I will definitely stay there again if I go back to that wine region.
